Jenna Jameson, a former adult film actress, shared in a rare interview how her young partner has reconnected her with Christianity after she previously converted to another religion.
Faith has played an important role in the retirement of 51-year-old Jameson from the adult film industry, where she was a significant figure and starred in over 200 films, which earned her the title ‘Queen of Porn’ in the 2000s.
Jameson, whose real name is Jenna Marie Massoli, left the adult entertainment scene in 2008 and briefly returned in 2013. In 2015, she embraced Judaism to marry her then-boyfriend Lior Bitton. Her commitment to her new faith even led her to quit Twitter in 2019, stating, “My sobriety and faith are the most important things to me. I am being attacked for my faith. Being Jewish.”
However, after experiencing some challenging years, her current partner, Milagros R. Ocampo, has now guided her back to Christianity.
During an interview with Us Weekly, Jameson detailed her recent conversion back to Christianity, which occurred in September. She explained that her partner, who is ten years younger, never imposed their faith but instead inspired her through their example.
“I watched her beautifully worship Jesus, and I felt so incredibly inspired. So without words, she led me straight into the arms of Jesus,” the former adult star shared.
Although Jameson expressed a continued connection to Judaism, she admitted feeling a shift in her heart over the past year. Her partner’s deep understanding of Christianity played a role in guiding her as she showed interest.
The relationship with Ocampo, a non-binary author and US Army member, was publicly revealed earlier this year through a series of Instagram posts where Jameson expressed her feelings for her younger partner.
Jameson added: “Yes, she’s incredibly educated and successful…but it’s her heart and passion that always leave me in awe. She inspires me daily and I’m so lucky to not only know her, but be loved by her.”
The couple appears to be very much in love, often expressing their affection for each other in their social media bios. Jameson’s bio reads she is ‘taken by Milagros,’ with her partner’s Instagram reflecting the same sentiment.
Faith seems to be an integral aspect of their relationship, as both Jameson and Ocampo frequently share posts about Christianity on their social media platforms.
To her more than 500,000 followers, Jameson recently conveyed, ‘Why seek validation from a world that crucified a perfect human?’ Ocampo shared a thought-provoking message, possibly indicating their faith is non-denominational: ‘Sometimes the people we call ‘lost’ are closer to Jesus than the people holding stones.’
Despite any religious differences, this relationship appears to be a positive one for Jameson, who has previously struggled with alcohol issues.
She described their relationship as ‘better than I ever thought possible,’ adding that she feels ‘at peace and incredibly happy’ because her partner understands her.
The couple enjoys spending time together doing everyday activities like camping trips and shopping, where Ocampo patiently waits for Jameson.
Discussing her past as an adult film star, Jameson mentioned that her partner had no problem with it. She shared, “I didn’t bring it up right away, and honestly, it never changed how she saw me. The conversation ended with her saying, ‘Oh, OK … can we go have that UBE ice cream in a bear-shaped mould?’”
“And that was it. No judgment, no hesitation. That’s when I knew I could be honest with her, because she already accepted me as I was.”
