Ex-My Chemical Romance Drummer Bob Bryar Posts Eerie Tribute to Chester Bennington Prior to His Passing

Former My Chemical Romance drummer, Bob Bryar, has tragically been found dead in his Tennessee home at the age of 44.

Just a day after being last seen, Bryar took to Twitter to pay tribute to the late Chester Bennington and commend Emily Armstrong, who had taken over the role of frontman for Linkin Park after Bennington’s passing.

On November 5, Bryar tweeted a series of posts, removing all his previous content. According to TMZ, he was discovered dead on November 26, about three weeks after these tweets.

While the cause of death is still under investigation, it is suspected that Bryar may have died by suicide around November 5. He was last seen alive on November 4.

According to the TMZ report, there were no signs of foul play at the scene, and Bryar’s musical instruments were undisturbed. Animal control was called to handle his two dogs found at the residence.

Bryar had retired from drumming in 2014 but expressed interest in making a comeback a year later.

He served as the drummer for My Chemical Romance from 2004 until 2010.

Upon his exit in 2010, My Chemical Romance shared a statement on social media: “As of 4 weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways.

“This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly, we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same.”

The band is scheduled to embark on a tour next year.

On November 5, coinciding with the US presidential election, Bryar, whose profile picture featured a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat, tweeted about Bennington, who also died by suicide in 2017.

“Emily Armstrong is destroying, shredding faces and making Chester proud,” Bryar noted.

“She was the perfect choice. AND she had to deal with the initial hate. that s–t is hard. trust me. word up.”

Bryar also sent out two enigmatic tweets, with his second to last reading ‘MEGYN’ and the final one being ‘TULSI’, leaving fans puzzled. However, a commenter speculated on their meaning.

“It’s the name of a journalist and tulsi is that of a republican representative, I just saw it on Google,” they suggested.

If accurate, these tweets referenced Tulsi Gabbard, a former congresswoman who moved from the Democratic Party to the Republicans to support Donald Trump. ‘MEGYN’ is thought to refer to Megyn Kelly, a well-known media personality and political commentator.
