Ex South Park writer launches website to draft Barron Trump into US military

A lethal volley of missiles and drones across the Middle East, sparked on Saturday by an Israeli strike targeting Iran’s top command, has marked the opening of a confrontation that now appears to be accelerating beyond anyone’s control.

Even after the attack killed the nation’s long-time spiritual leader Ayatollah Khamenei and a number of senior figures, Iran has retaliated with ballistic missile fire and repeated waves of explosive Shahed drones aimed at Israel as well as US partners positioned around the Gulf.

Following reports of American casualties in a fight that many say the public never endorsed — including lawmakers and even parts of the president’s own “no new wars” base — internet users have pushed a pointed message about who could be asked to bear the cost, helping #SendBarron surge online.

After news that multiple US troops were killed in a single incident in Kuwait on Sunday, former South Park writer Toby Morton amplified the satire, urging President Trump to deploy what he jokingly frames as a “secret weapon”: Trump’s 6’9″ son Barron, as part of “Operation Epic Fury”.

Across the US, military families were thrust into grief this weekend as Iranian strikes hit American personnel in the region, an escalation tied to decisions made at the very top.

Morton has since launched a satirical campaign site, DraftBarronTrump.com, built around the idea of sending the tallest member of the first family into service.

The website declares: “America is strong because its leaders are strong. President Trump proves that every day.

“Naturally, his son Barron is more than ready to defend the country his father so boldly commands. Service is honor. Strength is inherited.” It ends by adding: “Dog Bless Barron.”

With Trump’s past avoidance of Vietnam-era service due to “bone spurs” often raised by critics, the site also jokes: “If you’re looking for proven genes, inherited courage, and unquestionable resolve, look no further than the Trump family.”

Before taking any of this literally — including the notion of inserting Trump’s youngest son into a combat campaign involving heavy US bombers such as the B-1B, B-2, and B-52 — it’s important to note the entire “Draft Barron” push is intended as satire.

Still, the joke leans heavily on Barron’s height, imagining a range of absurd “military applications” for a two-metre-tall recruit.

One scenario riffs on ancient battlefield traditions, where opposing armies would send their largest fighters to settle disputes through single combat rather than full-scale slaughter.

And with Mojtaba Khamenei — son of the slain ayatollah — reportedly positioned to take over as Iran’s next supreme leader, the gag suggests the pair could square off to halt an escalation that Iranian authorities say has already left 1,000 dead in four days, per the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs.

The hypothetical matchup is framed as lopsided: the 19-year-old NYU student stands far taller than the 56-year-old Mojtaba, described as 5’10 — a 37-year age gap alongside the height difference.

To date, six US soldiers have been killed in the Iran conflict after an Iranian “unmanned aircraft system” struck a US command center at Port Shuaiba, Kuwait on Sunday (March 1).

A source told CNN the attack came with no warning or sirens around 9am local time.

Parts of the building continued to burn hours after the strike.

On Monday, the Pentagon released the names of four of those killed.

They were identified as Capt Cody Khork, 35, Sgt Noah Tietjens, 42, Sgt Nicole Amor, 39, and Sgt Declan Coady, 20.

Lt. Gen. Robert Harter, Chief of Army Reserve and Commanding General U.S. Army Reserve Command, said: “On behalf of the Army Reserve, we express our heartfelt condolences to their families and loved ones.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to honoring the legacy of our fallen and supporting their teammates and families during this difficult time.”
