The family of former US Vice President Dick Cheney has announced his passing at the age of 84.
Cheney, who was the 46th vice president, served two terms with Republican President George W. Bush from 2001 until 2009.
In a family statement, they shared: “His beloved wife of 61 years, Lynne, his daughters, Liz and Mary, and other family members were with him as he passed.”
They also noted, “The former Vice President died due to complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease.”
