Fergie and Josh Duhamel both posted rare photos of their son Axl over the weekend to mark his 13th birthday.
The former couple, who split in 2017 and finalized their divorce two years later, each shared separate Instagram tributes to the teenager on Saturday. The posts included throwback childhood pictures alongside more recent snapshots of the birthday boy.
“Guess who’s a TEENAGER!?” the actor, 53, wrote on Instagram over the weekend. “Holy crap that went fast.”
Duhamel, who stars in the Netflix series “Ransom Canyon,” continued praising his son in the caption. “I love this dude so much,” he wrote. “I couldn’t have asked for a more kind, compassionate and thoughtful kid. HAPPY 13th B-DAY AXL JACK!!!”

Fergie’s own Instagram carousel offered a different window into their son’s life, showing him smiling in a selfie during a meal out with his mom, posing with friends, and displaying a school project. The former Black Eyed Peas member, 51, struck a more wistful tone in her caption.
“13. 🎂🎂 Wow, my teenager,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m saying that with tears in my eyes as I feel like the world is shifting beneath us.”
She added, “It’s so beautiful to watch you grow into the kind, silly, and cool dude you are. You are so tough bruh 🤣🤣. Happy 13th Axl Jack. I love you.”

The coordinated birthday posts come amid what Duhamel has described as a smoothly functioning blended family. The “Transformers” actor married former Miss World America Audra Mari, 31, in September 2022, and the couple have since welcomed two children together: daughter Rocca, 3, and son Shepherd, 2. Fergie gave birth to Axl in August 2013 during her eight-year marriage to Duhamel.

Duhamel has spoken openly about the co-parenting arrangement he maintains with his ex-wife. During a March appearance on “The Skinny Confidential” podcast, he emphasized the positive dynamic between the women in his life.
“[Fergie and I] have a great relationship. She and Audra have a great relationship,” he said during the episode.

He reinforced that message later that same month during an interview on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” insisting “everybody is just copacetic.”
“She’s a great mom. I’m extremely happily married now to my wife, Audra [Mari]. … [They] have a great relationship, which is what I really care about,” he added.
The public display of mutual support extends beyond birthday posts. When Duhamel and Mari welcomed their youngest child, Rocca, in May, Fergie signaled her approval by liking the baby’s Instagram debut and leaving heart emojis in the comments.
