A jewelry authority has provided insight into a subtle message Kanye West conveyed at the Grammy Awards, while most people focused on his wife Bianca Censori’s revealing outfit.
West and Censori captured the attention of the audience when they made their entrance at the Grammys on Sunday (February 2), strutting down the red carpet and posing for photographers.
Initially, Censori donned a black fur coat, but as she turned away from the cameras, she let it fall to unveil a sheer dress, which has since made international headlines.
The daring fashion choice naturally dominated the buzz surrounding the couple’s red carpet appearance—leading West to claim his wife was the ‘most Googled person on the planet.’ However, some observers also took note of West’s outfit.
The musician opted for a monochrome style with a basic black T-shirt and pants, complemented by a dazzling panther necklace, which diamond experts at UK retailer Steven Stone suggest conveyed a message of its own.
Experts revealed that the Cartier Panthère necklace has a price tag of $28,500 and is made from white gold and black lacquer. It includes an emerald for the panther’s eye, framed by 189 brilliant-cut diamonds adding up to 0.73 carats.
The experts explained that the panther is emblematic of ‘strength, courage, leadership, and power’—qualities necessary for West to execute the red carpet feat alongside Censori.

“She took a break from shooting her first film to make a movie in real life. We tailored that invisible dress 6 times. And just like magic poof, we disappeared.”
