An expert has analyzed the data from some of the most-searched adult film categories in 2025, revealing that ‘pee-play’ and sweaty armpits are among the trending topics.
As the new year approaches, ethical adult film site Ersties has shared insights about internet users’ preferences. The platform is known for creating content that is ‘relatable and beautiful to watch’.
The site states: “We want to show the kind of sex you could be having, just with better lighting! Real people, real bodies, real moans, real consent, real orgasms.”
After a year of producing content, Ersties compiled data identifying six emerging sex trends. These include content centered around feet, pegging, ‘pee-play’, armpit licking, sweaty armpits, and tights and stockings.
The site also spotlighted its top three most-searched categories: ‘anal’, ‘squirt’, and ‘threesome’.
Discussing these trends, Cat, Head of Creative, Community, and Education at Ersties, explained that they reflect ‘people getting bolder about naming what they actually like’.
“Foot content, armpits, pegging…these might once have lived in the shadows, but audiences now feel much more comfortable searching for very specific interests rather than sticking to broad categories,” she elaborated.
“When sex feels safe and normalized, curiosity thrives and ethical porn gives people the space to explore without shame, so niche interests finally get their moment.”
Cat further explained that Ersties focuses on translating performers’ real fantasies into content, which exposes viewers to ‘a wide range of desires’.
“Seeing those fantasies explored openly makes people feel less alone, more confident, and safer to discover what they like themselves,” Cat noted.
The research also led to a series called ‘The Science of Sex’, which delves into fetishes such as armpit play, body scent, and feet.
“When fetishes are explained as part of human diversity instead of something to hide, people become far more open to exploring their own,” Cat concluded.
Additionally, Ersties discovered the most popular times for watching adult content. Contrary to expectations, it’s not just a Friday night pursuit.
The company’s data shows that viewers are most likely to indulge their desires on Sundays and Mondays, between 9pm and midnight. It’s a unique way to add excitement to the start of the week!
