Experts identify American hotspot as the ‘least favorable’ tourist destination globally

One of the most famous tourist spots in the US has been labeled as one of the ‘worst’ globally.

There are numerous renowned tourist destinations in the US to consider visiting.

New York City is a top choice, known for its iconic architecture and landmarks, along with a vibrant art scene, numerous museums, and an exquisite culinary landscape.

For those who prefer nature to urban environments, the US national parks, such as Yosemite and the Grand Canyon, offer breathtaking natural vistas.

If your preference leans towards sun and sand, then Hawaii and Florida have plenty to offer.

However, one well-known tourist destination has been ranked among the worst, not only in America but worldwide.

This place is the Hollywood Walk of Fame located in Los Angeles, California.

California is a top destination for tourists, whether you’re interested in wine tours or experiencing the allure of Hollywood.

However, recent evaluations of the Walk of Fame suggest that the experience might not meet expectations.

The Walk of Fame features over 2,800 stars embedded in the sidewalks on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street to honor achievements in film, TV, music, radio, and live performance, as well as other notables like Neil Armstrong.

Travel company Stasher pointed out that the attraction has a notably low Google rating, commenting: “Located [23 miles] from the LAX airport, this sidewalk of celebrity stars had the lowest Google rating and safety score.”

So, what are visitors saying about this attraction?

On Tripadvisor, the Walk of Fame holds an average rating of 3.4 out of five stars and ranks at number 64 on the list of things to do in LA – with Universal Studios Hollywood taking the top spot.

One visitor reviewed the Walk of Fame, stating: “Hollywood Walk of Fame was definitely not what I expected based on TV and movies. The whole area felt unsafe during our visit, and I wouldn’t recommend taking young children.”

Another visitor offered a different perspective, saying: “OK, it’s a bit shabby, tacky and touristy, but if you’re a tourist, then why not! We loved looking at all the stars’ names etc. and going in and out of the tourist shops … Done, ticked [it] off the list.”

Another person commented: “If you’ve never been to Hollywood before, then the Walk of Fame is definitely worth seeing. Famous throughout the years, it’s an iconic piece of Hollywood.”

One individual remarked: “Don’t expect to see the glamour of Hollywood, as it’s disappointing. The image you have of the Hollywood Walk of Fame is one of stardom and glitz, but the reality is your average city center with expensive gift shops.”

The Hollywood Walk of Fame has been approached for comment.
