Gorgeous Portraits Celebrating Unique Beauty Of Freckles Captured By British Photographer

A chance encounter with a friend’s freckled son inspired British photographer Brock Elbank to create this stunning series of portraits celebrating the beauty of freckles.

“What I find interesting about individual characters [I have photographed] is that many have struggled with their freckles since their infancy.”

“[They’ve] either hated them, or grown to live with them or even like them in adulthood,” says Brock.

From suffering bullies at school to teenage girls concealing the marks with makeup, many of Brock’s models admitted to struggling with their appearance.

“This is what fascinates me when photographing people: what they’ve struggled with through life.”

“This is what I tend to find beautiful and striking in a person.”

Of the photography process, Brock says, “It’s simple. I don’t use UV lights or gimmicks, I have a post-production process that takes about four hours per portrait.”
