Faith Evans, the widow of Biggie, has dismissed allegations that she believed P Diddy had any involvement in the rapper’s death, according to recent reports.
Evans and Biggie, whose real name was Christopher Wallace, got married in August 1994.
Their marriage faced challenges, especially as Biggie became entangled in the East Coast/West Coast feud, which eventually led to his tragic death in a drive-by shooting.
Prominent East Coast rappers include Biggie, Diddy, and Jay-Z, whereas the West Coast is represented by artists like Tupac and Dr. Dre.
The rivalry primarily revolved around Biggie and Tupac, sparking ongoing speculations regarding Diddy’s involvement in both their deaths—accusations that Diddy has consistently denied.
This controversy resurfaced in a memoir allegedly authored by Kim Porter before her death in 2018. Porter had an on-and-off relationship with Diddy for over a decade.
The book, titled “Kim’s Lost Words,” was published earlier this month and has already generated significant attention.
Porter’s memoir suggests that Diddy orchestrated Evans’ relationship with Biggie to keep tabs on him and claims that Evans always suspected Diddy had a role in her husband’s death.
Reports indicate that Evans is now considering legal action in response to these allegations.
An insider told MailOnline: “Faith Evans is considering taking legal action against the author of the Kim Porter book. The book claims Diddy used her to spy on Biggie Smalls and that she always suspected that Diddy was behind his murder. Faith is horrified by the story because it actually uses her name.”
Diddy’s representatives have also addressed the memoir, insisting that it’s false.
Speaking through his attorney Erica Wolf, the following statement was released: “The Kim Porter ‘memoir’ is fake. It is also offensive – a shameless attempt to profit from tragedy. Unlike the fabrications in his sickening ‘memoir’, it is an established fact that Ms Porter died of natural causes. May she rest in peace.”
Porter and Diddy’s children have also refuted the book’s authenticity, stating that their late mother never wrote a memoir.
Part of their joint statement read: “Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves. Additionally, please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart.”
