The family of a deceased streamer have shared the distressing experience where viewers reportedly taunted his lifeless body during a live feed.
Sergio Jiménez Ramos was found dead at his family’s home early on New Year’s Eve (December 31) by his younger brother and mother.
The 37-year-old was allegedly engaging in drug-related challenges in exchange for viewer donations, with accusations that he was paid to consume whiskey and cocaine.
Residing in Vilanova i la Geltru, a city 45 minutes southwest of Barcelona, Sergio was discovered by his brother Daniel in a chilling ‘prayer-like’ pose near a webcam.
Daniel spoke to the local news outlet El Periódico, revealing that Sergio had already passed away before emergency services were contacted.
“There was an almost empty bottle of whisky, a couple of cans of energy drinks and a pile of cocaine on a red plate,” he stated.

“My brother was kneeling on the floor, his head resting on the mattress.”
Daniel further described how they heard voices from Sergio’s computer during the tragic discovery.
“The computer was on and I could hear voices asking him if he was sleeping off his hangover,” he continued.
His mother, Teresa, noticed his open bedroom door after a trip to the bathroom.
“I got up to go to the bathroom just before 2am and saw the door to his room was ajar,” she recounted to the Catalan-based outlet.
“I asked him what he was doing but he didn’t answer. I tried to go in, but there were clothes or something on the bedroom floor and I couldn’t.
“I kept asking him from outside but he didn’t answer. I could see him kneeling on the bed, as if he were praying.”
After failing to enter the room, she called Daniel for help.

Teresa mentioned to reporters that another son had informed her months prior about Sergio’s participation in risky streaming challenges involving alcohol and drugs.
“Jordi, my eldest son, who lives in the Pyrenees, warned us a couple of months ago Sergio was making these kinds of videos,” she explained.
The Mossos d’Esquadra, Catalonia’s police force, have launched an investigation into the matter.
A spokesperson stated, “We can confirm we are investigating the death of a 37-year-old man found lifeless at a property in Villanova i Geltru in the province of Barcelona in the early hours of December 31.
“We are awaiting the full autopsy results and are looking into the context of this man’s death to determine whether a crime has occurred.”
