Fans ‘disgusted’ after seeing Dua Lipa’s Diet Coke addition

Dua Lipa’s unique dietary preferences have left some of her fans unconvinced, despite her explanations.

In a feature with British Vogue, the singer was questioned about her peculiar food combinations.

In case you weren’t aware, Dua Lipa has an unusual method for enhancing her Diet Coke. While she enjoys it, her fans are not entirely on board.

Last year, in a TikTok video, she surprised her audience by revealing that she adds pickle juice to her drink. Yes, you read that correctly—pickle juice, along with some actual pickles for garnish.

Though I’m a big fan of pickles myself, it never occurred to me to enhance my beverage with pickle juice.

The culinary oddities don’t stop there; the singer also incorporates jalapeño sauce and a few jalapeños.

Dua Lipa acknowledges the strange nature of her concoction and admitted this while speaking with British Vogue, noting that some fans have found it surprisingly palatable.

When questioned about the origins of her unusual pairing, she humorously attributed it to “total delusion” but noted that it somehow worked.

She elaborated: “I was at a Texas BBQ and just experimented to see what happened.”

“I still enjoy it; we even set up a Coke and pickle juice stand at one of my merch pop-ups in Sydney, and it was quite popular. Many people who thought it would taste bad found it delicious.”

Despite her defense, the comment section was filled with fans who confessed they tried the combination only once and had no plans to repeat the experience.

One person candidly remarked: “I love her, but the foods she invents are disgusting, man, lol.”

Another added: “I don’t know where she gets these ideas, worse than a pregnant woman’s craving lol.”

A third commented: “Every year they discover some gross food she likes; last year it was ice cream with olive oil and fleur de sel.”

Another fan humorously suggested: “This chick is into some weird stuff; that’s the only explanation for her making these disgusting combos. It’s ice cream with olive oil, Coca-Cola with pickles… Here in Brazil, I’m sure she’d come up with eating feijoada with gummy candy.”
