Fans left puzzled over ‘must-see’ new Netflix show rated a ’10/10′

Netflix audiences have been left perplexed by a captivating new series that has been hailed as essential viewing and described as a ’10/10′.

If you’re in search of a series to dive into, Netflix is a reliable destination, although this particular show has been labeled as one of the ‘most chaotic’ yet remains a favorite among viewers.

The series ranks as the third most popular on IMDb, boasting an impressive 6.8 rating. It follows the story of Sophie O’Neil (Brittany Snow), who relocates with her family from Boston to rural Texas, where she becomes friends with the cunning socialite Margo Banks (Malin Akerman).

Sophie is soon engulfed in her new life, which is steeped in elements of obsession, seduction, and murder.

The show in question is The Hunting Wives, an eight-part series adapted from May Cobb’s novel of the same name.

It features a significant amount of explicit content, which has left viewers somewhat bewildered.

On Twitter, viewers have urged others to watch the series. One user shared: “Can’t look away from The Hunting Wives but equally like what the f**k am I watching #TheHuntingWives.”

Another commented: “The Hunting Wives was probably the most chaotic wlw show I’ve ever watched.”

A third person noted: “I’m watching the hunting wives cause brittany snow girl kisser but what the f**k is this show.”

An additional viewer cleverly summarized the show: “How do I explain that in the hunting wives there’s three psychopathic women in a love triangle and they’re all married.”

Not all feedback was skeptical, however.

One viewer tweeted: “Viewer discretion this show has a lot of nudity. But the storyline and the actresses are perfect for their roles in THE HUNTING WIVES – a must watch.”

Someone else shared: “It’s 3am and I’m just finishing the hunting wives on Netflix and I must say 10/10, go watch!”

While the novel has been brought to the screen, readers of the book will notice several plot deviations from the original The Hunting Wives.

In a recent interview with Decider, Snow mentioned, “I think that the book was really the blueprint for us taking it and making it our own.”

She added, “And May Cobb, the author, was there a lot on set and with us every step of the way and she was so supportive and so excited by it all.”

“I think fans of the book are really going to be surprised by some liberties that we took while also staying really true to the characters. I think that we have a few twists and turns that nobody’s going to see coming because they definitely weren’t in the book.”

The Hunting Wives is currently available for streaming on Netflix US.
