Fans Notice Travis Kelce Casually Mentions Taylor Swift’s ‘Most Embarrassing Moment’ to Millions

Some fans think Travis Kelce may have made a lighthearted comment about what they perceive as Taylor Swift’s most awkward moment.

The pop star appeared for the first time on her boyfriend’s New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce. Jason gave her an epic introduction reminiscent of the iconic Michael Buffer, before Travis appeared to make a reference to a well-known incident in Swift’s career.

Michael Buffer is famous for his “Let’s get ready to rumble!” announcements.

Jason began, “Our guest today is the singer, songwriter, producer, and director from Nashville, Tennessee – that’s bullsh*t. She is from Reading, Pennsylvania.”

Continuing, he said, “She is the most awarded artist in the history of the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and iHeart Radio Music Awards. She has 14 Grammy Awards and is the only artist in the history to win an album of the year four times.

“Last December, she wrapped up the Eras tour, which spanned 149 shows across 51 cities, five continents, and was the most attended tour of all time.”

His brother echoed, “Of all time!”

Travis’ remark seems to have sparked discussions on Twitter, with some fans suggesting he subtly referenced Swift’s first VMA win, which was interrupted by Kanye West’s infamous mic grab.

One Twitter user noted: “Did anyone else catch that Travis repeated ‘Of all time’ after the list of Taylor’s accomplishments in the exact same way that Kanye West repeated ‘Of all time’ after he grabbed the microphone from Taylor and interrupted her award-acceptance speech?”

While this interpretation may be reaching, it wasn’t an isolated observation. Another person was surprised it happened live in front of 1.3 million viewers.

“Millions of people just watched Travis Kelce casually reference the most embarrassing moment of Taylor Swift’s life,” they said.

To revisit the 2009 incident, a then-19-year-old Swift was receiving her VMA for Best Female Video for ‘You Belong with Me’ when West famously interrupted her on stage.

West said, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!” He then returned the mic to Swift.

Responding to the podcast introduction, Swift exclaimed: “That intro, Jason! Oh my god. No, look his soul has left his body. No, that was so good. Thank you. Thank you for screaming for like 47 seconds for me – that was so nice.”
