Fans of Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny were left puzzled after learning about an unusual condition for his upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez, was announced last year as the host for the Super Bowl halftime show. This news had his fans eagerly anticipating the event set for February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The performance marks a significant milestone, as he will be the first solo male Latin artist to headline the slot.
However, the anticipation encountered a hiccup when it was revealed that the show would feature an unexpected restriction.
While Super Bowl performances are known for their lavish displays, some potential participants might find themselves let down by the criteria.
An advertisement, recently shared on Reddit, disclosed that Bad Bunny’s performance would involve a large ensemble cast on the field alongside him.

Some fans were thrilled at the chance to participate, but discovered they didn’t qualify due to specific physical requirements.
The advertisement clarified that the role wasn’t for dancers, stating: ‘field Cast will be performing structured movements and blocking as part of a larger production.’ To qualify, participants needed to be ‘between 5’7′ and 6’0’ with a ‘slender to athletic build’ and capable of wearing costumes weighing up to 40 pounds.
Those who didn’t meet these criteria voiced their frustrations online.
A Reddit user commented: “5’7 minimum, slender athletic build… I’m so over pretending this is the aesthetic that we should strive for and I’m side eyeing the f**k out of them for this s**t. They can’t see it though, because they are apparently looking over my head.”
Another remarked: “Cries in elf! Why didn’t I get some of my dad’s height.”

Another fan whimsically added: “Not me romanticizing being in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show just to be 5’3.”
And another simply stated: “Cries in too short.”
Backlit Support, the company recruiting for the production roles, closed the initial listing but released a new ad with revised criteria.
The updated listing states: “We are re-opening applications for the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Field Cast. While the core responsibilities of the role remain the same, we are specifically seeking additional applicants within the height range of 5’ 10” to 6’ 1” to meet updated production requirements.”
Best of luck to those who meet the new requirements and wish to join Bad Bunny on the field.
