The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has devoted a page to the case of Amy Bradley, whose mysterious disappearance has gained heightened attention due to a recent documentary release.
Amy Lynn Bradley vanished while vacationing on a Royal Caribbean cruise 27 years ago, sparking numerous speculations about the fate of the 23-year-old.
Originally from Virginia, Amy was last observed on March 24, 1988, at about 5:30 A.M., resting in a chair on the private balcony of her cabin aboard the Rhapsody of the Seas, after a night at the ship’s club.
She was traveling with her family, including her mother Iva, father Ron, and brother Brad. In the wake of Amy’s disappearance, her family urged the ship’s captain to initiate an extensive search.
The new Netflix documentary, “Amy Bradley is Missing,” explores her mysterious disappearance, delving into various theories surrounding the case.
The three-part series sheds light on many aspects of her case, although it does not provide a comprehensive account of the developments over the 27 years since she disappeared, according to Amy’s brother Brad.
Described as 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, Amy has green eyes and was last seen with short brown hair.
The FBI describes her tattoos: “Bradley has the following tattoos: A Tasmanian Devil spinning a basketball on her shoulder; the sun on her lower back; a Chinese symbol on her right ankle; and a Gecko lizard on her navel. She also has a navel ring.”
Despite exhaustive searches both onboard and ashore, Amy’s whereabouts remain unknown, leading to her being legally declared deceased in 2010. Nonetheless, her family holds onto hope that she may still be alive.
The FBI continues to maintain a webpage dedicated to Amy’s case, providing any new information related to her disappearance.
This FBI page includes aged-progressed images depicting how Amy might appear today.
The page offers this incentive: “The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the recovery of Amy Lynn Bradley and information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person(s) responsible for her disappearance.”
While some theories propose that Amy accidentally fell overboard, another prevalent theory suggests she may have been abducted and trafficked.
The Netflix documentary explores this possibility, highlighting an instance where Amy’s family believes they identified someone resembling her on a sex worker website.
