This is Dave Meinert. He is filmmaker from Cape Town who works “across all narrative-based visual media.”
Last year, he rescued a puppy named Pegasus from a backyard breeder.
Most of the litter died at birth, while others were deformed. Pegasus herself was a double merle and had a severe lack of pigmentation.
Dave was told that if she lived, she’d go deaf or blind.
Not knowing how long Pegasus would live, Dave decided to document her days of good health in The Pegasus Project.
In just six months, Dave was able to create this amazing time-lapse video telling Pegasus’ story and showing how much she has grown.
Prepare for the onslaught of feels.
Although Pegasus is plagued with numerous health issues, she is one happy pup with a loving disposition.
Here’s wishing Dave and Pegasus a very long and happy life together.
