First Glimpse of the Real-Life Krabby Patty as Burger Hits Stores Next Week

Spongebob Squarepants enthusiasts have something unexpected to look forward to with the unveiling of a real-life adaptation of a beloved element from the popular series.

For those unfamiliar, the Nickelodeon show follows Spongebob, a sponge portrayed by Tom Kenny, who resides in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom.

Employed at the Krusty Krab eatery, Spongebob brings his enthusiastic outlook to his role as a fry cook.

This brings us to a key aspect of the beloved series – the Krabby Patty.

Although it may seem like a mere burger, the Krabby Patty is a source of envy for the competing restaurant, The Chum Bucket.

Plankton the copepod will be thrilled to learn that he can finally obtain one of the patties.

This tiny crustacean might aim to deconstruct it for his own gain.

But what has enabled Plankton to access a Krabby Patty now?

The answer lies in Wendy’s announcement of offering a real-life version of the burger as a limited-time special.

This will debut on October 8, featuring a Krabby Patty Kollab Burger alongside a Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, inspired by Spongebob’s cartoon residence.

The Krabby Patty’s recipe is a humorous motif in the show, prompting many to express their reactions online.

One person quipped: “How tf did Wendy’s get the secret formuler” while another humorously inquired: “What secret ingredient did they use in the sauce?”

Another voice skeptically claimed: “They’ll never get the real Krabby Patty formula.”

Meanwhile, some were less impressed, with a remark: “That’s just a normal classic burger.”

One fan reluctantly admitted being drawn back, stating: “Every time I think I’m done with Spongebob…they pull me back in! I give up…I’m getting some Krabby Patties…”

Regarding the ‘secret formula,’ Wendy’s shared the burger’s ingredients online.

It stated that the burger includes ‘a quarter pound of Wendy’s fresh, never frozen beef, two slices of melty American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, and a top-secret Krabby Kollab sauce on a toasted premium bun.’

Lindsay Radkoski, US Chief Marketing Officer for The Wendy’s Company, commented: “In a world of people cutting corners, Wendy’s is known for quality in everything we do – from our fresh, famous food to collaborations with brands that our fans love.

“So, it makes sense that two of the most iconic squares in pop culture are teaming up to bring a taste of this unique, limited-time experience to life for fans of all ages!”
