Flight Attendant Hides Inspiring Notes For Passengers To Discover

Flight attendant Taylor Tippett knows the power and beauty of the handwritten note. Because for the past year, she’s been spreading love, hope, and strength by taping small slips of paper with inspiring words and quotes to the windows of the airplanes she attends.

She’s turned her work into an Instagram-based project called #wordsfromthewindowseat.

The Washington, D.C.-based flight attendant says the first quote she wrote was “You’re already invited,” which she took from one of her favorite books, How to Be An Explorer of the World by Keri Smith.

Tippett felt she just had to share it and say, “You’re already invited to kill this day, to like, nail it, to have the best day ever. It’s already set up for you, you just have to go do it.”

And to avoid any potential panic from particularly jittery passengers, Tippett photographs the quotes taped to the window to share on social media, but then removes the slip and inserts it into a safety card for a passenger to find later.
