Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl Confesses to Infidelity and Secret Child

Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters has revealed that he has fathered a child outside of his marriage.

The well-known musician made the announcement via his Instagram account earlier today.

In his statement, Grohl wrote: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.

“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.

“We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Grohl has been married to model and TV producer Jordyn Blum since 2003. The couple’s first meeting took place at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in 2001.

Reflecting on their initial meeting, Grohl shared in a 2007 interview with ELLE: “When I first met my wife, we went out on a few dates and I decided that I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling.”

“After three months, I had a revelation and called her back. She picked up the phone and said, ‘Oh, I never thought I’d hear from you again,'” he added.

The couple married on August 2, 2003, and have three daughters: Violet Maye, 18, Harper Willow, 15, and Ophelia Saint, 10.

His eldest daughter, Violet Maye, is currently a touring member of the Foo Fighters.

Grohl and Blum were recently seen together at London’s Wimbledon tennis tournament in July 2024, sitting in the Royal Box alongside other celebrities.

Before marrying Blum, Grohl was married to Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 to 1997.

The couple divorced in 1997, and according to a 2007 profile by The Guardian, infidelity was a contributing factor.

Grohl is a significant figure in the rock music scene, having been the drummer for Nirvana from 1990 to 1994. He founded Foo Fighters in 1994, taking on the roles of lead singer, guitarist, and principal songwriter.

Recently, Grohl and other members of the Foo Fighters sued former president Donald Trump for using their music during his presidential re-election campaign without permission.

The band’s song ‘My Hero’ was played at an Arizona rally, and a spokesperson for the group stated to PA news agency: “Foo Fighters were not asked permission, and if they were they would not have granted it.”
