Gabby Petito’s father has commented on the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case, pointing out a particularly frustrating aspect of it.
In 2021, Gabby Petito was tragically murdered by her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, garnering nationwide attention following her initial disappearance.
Her body was discovered in September at Wyoming’s Spread Creek camping area, where an autopsy confirmed her death resulted from blunt-force injuries.
Brian Laundrie, with whom she was traveling, did not cooperate with authorities upon his return home and subsequently took his own life, leaving behind a note confessing to Gabby’s murder.
Joe Petito, Gabby’s father, has recently spoken to Fox News regarding Savannah Guthrie’s current situation and the emotions the family must be experiencing.

Since January 31, Savannah’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, has been missing after vanishing from her Tucson, Arizona, home. Authorities suspect she may have been abducted during the night.
Joe Petito shared his feelings from the time of his daughter’s disappearance during his conversation with Fox News.
He stated: “To be honest, I don’t remember a lot of it because everything was moving so fast.
“You know, I just hope they are taking their time and listening to each other and really trying to do what is best in their situation based on their feeling and the information they have.
“Because a lot of outside influence will try and give an opinion or something along those lines.
“[The family] are the only ones who have all the information, or as much as possible.
“I just hope they are listening to what they feel is best.”
Petito also discussed how he and his family maintained hope during the prolonged search and investigation process.
Moreover, he touched on an issue that frustrated him during his own case, which is likely affecting Savannah Guthrie and her family.

He remarked: “It is humbling to see so many people try and help your family, which is what Savannah is getting with her mom.
“But it is also frustrating, a lot of the information that is out there…
“If someone does a bad report and doesn’t give accurate information a lot of the time people will just copy and paste it. Next thing you know, something is out there that is just not true at all.
“So it can be frustrating at times, it can be humbling at the same time, but also scary and sad, you know what I mean.”
He concluded by expressing hope that Savannah and her family have a positive resolution to their situation and that the perpetrator is ultimately brought to justice.
