Ghost Adventures star shares emotional update as episode reveals moment he discovers wife’s murder-for-hire scheme

Aaron Goodwin, known for his role on Ghost Adventures, is opening up about the most challenging year of his life just before an episode airs that reveals the shocking moment he learns his wife was arrested for plotting his murder.

The shocking news came to light when authorities announced that Victoria Goodwin had been taken into custody in March, charged with solicitation and conspiracy to commit murder, as documented by Clark County, Nevada’s booking records.

It later emerged that Mrs. Goodwin had approached two individuals to kill her husband, Aaron.

The criminal complaint detailed that she had provided a ‘third party’ with Aaron’s whereabouts and paid them to execute the plan.

Victoria was allegedly involved with a Florida prison inmate named Grant Amato, despite her marriage to Goodwin in 2022.

In an apparent exchange of messages, she told Amato: “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”

The latest Ghost Adventures episode, which aired on October 22, captures the moment Goodwin learns of his wife’s arrest during a paranormal investigation.

As he was explaining his process of capturing photos and videos in complete darkness, a message on his phone interrupted him.

Goodwin told his co-star Jay Wasley: “Bro, police are at my house.”

He then steps outside to take a call.

A voice-over in the episode informed viewers that no further footage would be shown, indicating this was when he learned about the situation.

In a statement shared on Instagram on October 21, a day before the episode’s release, Goodwin reflected on what he describes as the ‘worst year’ of his life, admitting he is ‘not doing good at all’.

“To all the press out there messaging me. Thank u for all reaching out & being awesome but unfortunately I can’t talk about anything yet,” he wrote.

“I could tell you guys I’m doing ok but I would rather be honest. Just know I’m not doing good at all & everyday is worse with all I’m learning all the time.

“They say in time everything gets better but I just want the divorce to be over so I can move on with my life. Honestly, I probably couldn’t make it through an interview without being in tears and I’m just not ready yet. This has been the worst year of my life.”

On the day of the episode ‘Hollydale Asylum of Hell’ airing, Goodwin shared that it shows when he received the fateful call.

“This next episode of #ghostadventures is when I got the FaceTime call from the cops,” he said.

“They were in my house & told me what she did & she was arrested. I won’t be watching this episode cause I don’t want to relive that night again & what happened before the call.

“This lockdown is insane & disturbing with what happened during our investigation.”

Fans flooded the comments with messages of support. “I wish there was something we could do for you Aaron,” one follower wrote.

“It must’ve been so traumatic for you Aaron,” commented another viewer.

A third added: “Completely understandable. We love you so much Aaron and I’m so glad you’re here with us .”

In court, Aaron delivered a victim impact statement, sharing his feelings about the ordeal.

He stated: “For seven years I thought I was in the most loving relationship of marriage with my best friend, someone who I trusted in whole heart and laughed with every day.

“Someone who made me feel like I was settled – like I was her one and only. I was loyal to her and [did] whatever I could to make her happy.

“I thought we were something very special, and so did everyone else.”

In the end, Victoria accepted a plea deal, admitting to conspiracy to commit murder. She received a sentence ranging from three to seven-and-a-half years in prison.
