Goldie Hawn has spoken about an alleged extraterrestrial encounter in which she says she was physically “touched” by aliens.
The 80-year-old actress appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week and described the unsettling incident, saying it happened when she was in her late teens while working as a dancer in California.
Hawn said she once stared up at the night sky and expressed a desire to come face-to-face with whatever might be out there—before, she claims, something strange followed months later.
“I looked up in the sky and I said, ‘I know you’re up there, and I know we’re not alone, and I want to meet you one day,’” she recalled.
According to Hawn, about three months after that moment, she was dancing when a sudden wave of sleepiness hit her. She asked a friend if she could rest in the back of her car.
“I heard a high-pitched sound in my ear… and I remember looking at my hand and my body, and I couldn’t move anything. I was completely paralysed.”
She went on to say she noticed small figures outside the vehicle, watching her, and described them as having triangular-shaped heads. She also suggested they seemed to communicate through sounds rather than spoken language.
“Two people… looking at me with triangular-shaped heads, sort of silver colour,” she added.
Hawn said the experience included a moment she remembers as gentle rather than threatening.
“I suddenly remembered… they touched my face. It was the most benevolent touch… it was like the finger of God.”
As she revisited the story, Hawn appeared emotional and said she initially questioned whether it could have been a dream.
Later on, she said she read accounts of other alleged alien encounters and found similarities—particularly the reported paralysis and high-pitched noises—leading her to believe her experience fit a wider pattern.
She added that she eventually consulted an astrophysicist in an effort to make sense of what she believed had happened.
Stories about close encounters often describe recurring elements such as paralysis or sleep paralysis, sensations of pressure, “missing time,” floating feelings, intense fear, bright lights, and other unusual sensory effects.
Hawn’s partner, Kurt Russell, has also discussed a UFO-related incident. He previously told The One Show he reported lights he saw while flying near Phoenix in 1997—an event often cited among the most well-known UFO sightings.
“We were on approach,” he recalled to BBC.
“I saw six lights over the airport in absolute uniform in a V-shape. Oliver [Hudson] said to me, I was just looking at him, I was coming in, we’re maybe a half a mile out, and Oliver said, ‘Pa, what are those lights?’ Then, I kind of came out of my reverie, and I said, ‘I don’t know what they are.’ He said, ‘Are we OK here?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I’m gonna call in’, and I reported it.”
