A good Samaritan chased down and subdued a homeless man who allegedly assaulted and tried to rob an elderly man at a Hollywood eatery until police arrived.
Amherst Technologies posted security camera footage of the incident on YouTube on Friday.
The elderly man is off-camera when the film from the restaurant shows a man approaching him and assaulting him while reportedly snatching his wallet and phone.
The good Samaritan, who can be heard explaining the events in the video while sitting nearby, saw the assault and ran after the culprit right away.
The video then switches to a street view as the narrator attacks the suspect as a wallet, likely belonging to the elderly guy, slips from his hands and onto the pavement.
Before being tackled to the ground, the homeless man is seen hitting the good Samaritan in the face. Watch the video of the incident below:
