The grandmother of the man accused of killing Charlie Kirk has asserted that the FBI has apprehended the incorrect individual.
On September 10, Charlie Kirk, a political commentator known for his conservative views, was shot and killed while at an event at Utah Valley University.
The FBI quickly initiated a large-scale manhunt for the suspect, whom they believe acted independently and fired a single shot from a rooftop on the college campus. It wasn’t long before authorities announced they had identified a prime suspect.
Today, Friday, September 12, the FBI announced the arrest of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.
Despite the accusations against Robinson for Kirk’s assassination, his grandmother has reportedly expressed her belief that he is innocent, stating that the authorities have “got the wrong man.”
Further details are expected to emerge.
