A grieving mother has come forward following the discovery of her daughter’s body near her college campus.
Nineteen-year-old Brianna Aguilera was found dead outside an apartment complex in the early hours of Saturday morning (November 29). This tragic event occurred after she had attended a tailgate for a football game between the University of Texas and Texas A&M University.
Brianna’s mother, Stephanie Rodriguez, shared with KSAT that she has encountered ‘inconsistent answers’ regarding her daughter’s death. Authorities reportedly informed her that Brianna had fallen from a student housing building.
Stephanie states that investigators suggested Brianna’s death was likely a suicide. However, she insists that her daughter was not suicidal and had ambitions of becoming a lawyer after graduation.

“There are a lot of inconsistencies with the story,” Stephanie told the publication.
“He told me they said she jumped, and then he told me that the friends said they didn’t know her whereabouts.
“There was a fight that happened between my daughter and another girl, and they were all staying in the same apartment that I have actual text messages of, and the detective just disregarded them.”
Stephanie believes that someone in the apartment might have information about her daughter’s death. However, a preliminary report from Austin police indicates that her death is not being considered a homicide or suspicious.

A GoFundMe has been established to support Brianna’s family, raising over $30,000 at the time of writing.
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and cousin, Brianna Aguilera,” the page states.
“Brianna graduated from United High School in Laredo, TX where she was a seasoned cheerleader and received honors of Magna Cum Laude. She was pursuing her dream of becoming a lawyer and was attending The Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M, her dream was to always be an AGGIE! She was a year shy of attaining her Aggie ring.
“On Friday, November 28, 2025, Brianna attended the UT vs. Texas A&M tailgate with friends at Austin. The details surrounding what happened next remain unclear, and her mother is still awaiting answers.”

The page explains that the family’s ‘hearts are shattered,’ adding: “In an effort to ease the financial burden on Brianna’s mother and loved ones during this unimaginable time, we are asking family, friends, and all who knew or knew of Bri to consider offering a donation. If you are unable to give, we humbly ask that you keep Brianna and her family in your thoughts and prayers.”
The Travis County Medical Examiner will be looking into Brianna’s cause of death.
UNILAD has reached out to the Austin Police Department for comment.
