Grimes has subtly criticized Elon Musk, her former partner, regarding the manner in which their son was showcased during a televised event at the White House.
The pair’s relationship, which started in 2018, led to the birth of three children: X AE A-XII, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus, before they eventually parted ways.
Since their separation, Grimes, whose birth name is Claire Elise Boucher, has sought to distance herself from Musk. She emphasized to her followers that she is ‘not him’ after getting unintentionally involved when Musk was accused of performing a ‘Nazi salute’ at a Trump rally.
Recently, Grimes voiced her displeasure concerning their four-year-old son, affectionately nicknamed Little X, making an appearance on television with his father and the President.
During Musk’s visit to the Oval Office, X AE A-XII was seen in the background as Musk, who oversees the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), attended the signing of an executive order by Trump. This order mandates federal agencies to work with DOGE to cut costs.
Viewers observed the child’s courteous behavior during the event, with one Twitter user commending Grimes for X AE A-XII’s upbringing.
“Lil X was very polite today!,” the user remarked. “You raised him well. He was so cute when he told DJT, ‘please forgive me, I need to pee’.”
The compliment appeared to surprise Grimes, who revealed she was unaware that her son was in the Oval Office and on television.
She conveyed her disapproval, stating, “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank you for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”
The original Twitter user responded with an apology, clarifying they ‘didn’t mean to cause trouble’.
“He was well dressed and taken care of,” they added.
While Musk addressed journalists, Little X was seen making faces and clinging to his father. At one point, he even informed Trump of his need for a bathroom break.
Although Grimes suggested she hadn’t discussed X Æ A-XII’s television appearance with Musk, this was not the first instance of their son accompanying Musk to work.
Previously, Musk had brought Little X on stage during a rally and included him in an interview with Tucker Carlson, a right-wing commentator.
