In a candid revelation last year, Gwyneth Paltrow discussed her past relationships with some of Hollywood’s most well-known figures, sharing insights on who she found to be the most memorable in terms of intimacy.
Back in 1994, the entertainment landscape was marked by Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction” making its debut, “Snow White” being added to the National Film Registry, and Gwyneth Paltrow featuring in Alan Rudolph’s film “Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle.”
That year also marked the beginning of Paltrow’s romance with Brad Pitt, leading to a brief engagement before their eventual breakup in 1997.
Following her split from the “Fight Club” star, Paltrow began seeing Ben Affleck after they met at a dinner organized by the now-disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein.
Their on-again, off-again relationship lasted three years before they parted ways.
Now 52 and mother of two, Paltrow was later married to Coldplay’s Chris Martin for 13 years until their separation in 2016.
Currently, she is married to TV writer Brad Falchuk. Meanwhile, her former beau Brad Pitt, now 60, is in a relationship with jewelry designer Inés De Ramón.
Conversely, Ben Affleck, also 52, is going through a divorce from his second spouse Jennifer Lopez, with whom divorce papers were filed on August 20.
In the years since, the lives of these celebrities have undoubtedly evolved, potentially bringing new experiences into their intimate lives. Fans have shown curiosity about which of Paltrow’s notable exes she deemed as the best in bed.
During an appearance on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Paltrow shared, “That’s really hard,” adding that, “Brad was major chemistry, love-of-your-life at the time,” while noting that “Ben was technically excellent.”
In the same interview, Paltrow reminisced about how Pitt proposed to her during their engagement in 1996.
“One night we were on the balcony of this house we were renting in this little town in Argentina,” she recounted. “I wish I remembered exactly what he said, but he proposed, it was fantastic, I was thrilled. We had talked about it, but I was surprised in the moment, I remember that. I must have been 24.”
When reflecting on their breakup, Paltrow acknowledged it was ‘really hard’, but believed it was ‘the right thing at that time’.
Participating in 30-year-old Cooper’s game of ‘Ben or Brad,’ Paltrow praised both actors as ‘good kissers’ and described Pitt as the more romantic partner.
However, she noted that Affleck had a knack for making her laugh, though their relationship was also more prone to arguments, according to Paltrow.
At one point, she humorously remarked, “I can’t believe my daughter’s listening to this.”
Paltrow is the mother of Apple Martin, 20, and Moses Martin, 18, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Martin, 47.
