Gypsy-Rose Blanchard says she is preparing for another cosmetic treatment, around two years after undergoing rhinoplasty and septoplasty.
Blanchard left prison in December 2023 after serving about eight years of a 10-year sentence. A few months later, in April 2024, she had a nose job following her split from husband Ryan Anderson.
She is now with Ken Urker, and the couple welcomed a daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, on December 28, 2024, exactly one year after Blanchard’s release from prison.
The 35-year-old was sentenced to 10 years in prison over the 2015 killing of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, after pleading guilty to second-degree murder.
Since returning home, Blanchard has drawn major attention online, and she recently told her 1,000,000 Instagram followers that she plans to get ‘GlowTox’. In a video shared on July 29, Blanchard announced she is planning several cosmetic procedures as part of her ‘summer glow-up’.
Plastic Surgery Associates of South Dakota describes the treatment as a combination of a ViPeel, which is a chemical peel, and Botox during the same visit.
“The ViPeel is a chemical peel designed to exfoliate and smooth the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines, dark spots, and acne scars.
“When paired with Botox, which targets wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles, you get both surface and deeper skin rejuvenation. This combination enhances results, leaving your skin looking vibrant, smoother, and more youthful.”
Blanchard said the appointment is part of her ‘summer glow up’.
“I am kind of nervous about it,”
She explained that she wants help with ‘some fine lines and wrinkles coming through’, along with hyperpigmentation and acne.
Blanchard also acknowledged that the procedure is ‘controversial’, though she said she does not want ‘anything crazy’.
“I’m not gonna go insane with the filler, but just a little fuller,”
“Just very natural, very subtle.”
In addition to the GlowTox and Botox, Blanchard revealed she is also planning to get lip filler. She stressed that she wants a subtle and natural look, saying “I don’t want anything crazy” and that she would not “go insane with the filler.”
Blanchard’s summer transformation also includes K-tip hair extensions, which are strand-by-strand hair extensions that use a heated keratin bond to attach real human hair to a person’s natural hair.
She also said she intends to vlog the process so followers can see the full experience.
At first, Blanchard faced a first-degree murder charge. That was later reduced after she agreed to testify, alongside evidence showing she had endured years of severe abuse from her mother.
She was sentenced in July 2016 and spent most of her incarceration at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri.
Her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn assisted in the killing and is currently serving life without parole.
The case became widely known because it brought attention to Munchausen syndrome by proxy, also called Factitious Disorder Imposed on Another. Cleveland Clinic defines this as a ‘mental health condition where you pretend that someone within your care is sick when they aren’t’.
Blanchard’s story has also inspired television adaptations, including Joey King’s 2019 drama, The Act.
