Gypsy Rose Blanchard has posted never-before-seen family photos of Ken Urker and their infant daughter following his death.
Blanchard, 35, shared the emotional carousel on Instagram Friday alongside a tribute calling Urker her “greatest love story.” The upload came days after Urker, 34, was found unresponsive at a Louisiana home on his birthday, a discovery made by a family member after Blanchard’s “happy birthday” text went unanswered.
The first image showed Urker smiling at a restaurant. A second slide captured the couple exchanging “I love you” while playing with Snapchat filters. Additional footage showed Urker on the couch with Blanchard and baby Aurora Raina, born December 2024, as the family used a cat filter together. Other clips featured the pair joking and recreating the noodle scene from “Lady and the Tramp.”
“You will always be my greatest love story. You will be remembered and loved forever. ❤️” Blanchard captioned the post.
The reality star also addressed Urker’s death at length on her Instagram Stories Friday. “Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved. He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase,” she wrote.
She continued, “The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure. I believe the tremendous weight of that scrutiny and harassment had a profound impact on him, and I hope his passing serves as a reminder that there is a real person behind every screen, every headline, and every comment.”
Blanchard further stated that Urker “endured an unimaginable level of public scrutiny and relentless cyberbullying” before his death. She emphasized his devotion to their daughter, adding, “Above all, Ken loved our daughter, Aurora. She is a beautiful reflection of his enduring spirit, and through her, a part of him will always remain with us. I will make sure she grows up knowing how deeply her father loved her and who he was beyond what strangers on the internet chose to say about him.”
The “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up” personality has since indicated she believes Urker died of an overdose. “I don’t know if it was intentional or not,” she said. “He was not in a good state of mind lately.” She additionally said that a substance was found, though she had never previously seen him use drugs. Officials have not publicly confirmed a cause of death.
Blanchard and Urker’s path to parenthood began years earlier when they connected as prison pen pals during her incarceration for her role in the 2015 murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. Urker proposed in 2018, one year after they met, but the relationship eventually ended. Blanchard married Ryan Anderson in July 2022 while still serving the 10-year sentence she received for her mother’s death; she was released December 28, 2023, after completing 85 percent of her term.
Following her 2024 divorce from Anderson, Blanchard rekindled her romance with Urker. A month before Aurora’s arrival, she confirmed via a since-deleted post that Urker was the biological father, not her ex-husband. “Ken is going to be an incredible dad and we are so excited to welcome our baby girl into the world,” she wrote at the time.
Blanchard and Urker celebrated their first Christmas with Aurora in December 2024, a milestone documented publicly before his death.
The couple’s history traces back to Blanchard’s imprisonment for conspiring to kill Dee Dee Blanchard, who had subjected her daughter to years of fabricated illnesses and medical abuse. The case drew national attention and was adapted into multiple television productions. Blanchard ultimately pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and served roughly eight years before her late-2023 parole.
Blanchard has not announced any public memorial plans for Urker.
