January 20th was Penguin Awareness Day and there’s no better way to be aware of penguins than looking at cute pictures of our favorite fishy/birdy hybrids.
#1. Everyone loves penguins. They’re the perfect combination of cute and hilarious.
#2. If you were a penguin you’d have loads of mates and a big family to hang out with.
#3. Even if they’re rubbish at hide and seek.
#4. They’re not great at Marco Polo either.
#5. But they just play tag instead.
#6. They love a good adventure holiday.
#7. Always finding the perfect spot away from the tourist crowds.
#8. Even though it’s too cold to show off your bikini body.
#9. Look at this cheeky guy.
#10. But don’t be fooled by the cuteness; penguins are tough as nails.
#11. They can take out a grown man.
You should definitely be aware of this penguin, because he's aware of you. #penguinawarenessday pic.twitter.com/AcCKjT8mKb

#12. Even if they do look like bumbling, waddling buffoons.
It's #PenguinAwarenessDay! <3

#13. There aren’t many birds that look this graceful underwater.
#14. And check out the elegant shapes they can cut for a photoshoot.
#15. Penguins are also one of the few animals that mate for life. N’aww.
#16. Both parents care for the newborn penguin (although this mom looks a bit surprised to see her tiny chick).
#17. These teenagers are waddling home from a flippin’ good night at the ice bar.
#18. And finally, you just can’t celebrate penguins properly without THIS absolute classic.
