Harry Potter’s Luna Lovegood Actress Evanna Lynch Reveals Secret Nine-Year Romance with Co-Star

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint are frequently in the spotlight, which is understandable given their iconic roles as Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the Harry Potter series.

However, the series also features other beloved characters, such as Luna Lovegood, admired for her mystical and ethereal nature.

Within the chaos of Hogwarts, Harry Potter had his share of romantic storylines, though Luna largely stayed out of that aspect.

Many fans speculated that Luna would have made a good romantic partner for Harry, who ultimately ended up with Ginny Weasley.

While Luna didn’t have a romantic storyline in the films, the actress who portrayed her found love with someone from the Harry Potter universe.

Evanna Lynch, who brought the character Luna Lovegood to life, joined the cast in the 2007 film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

In that film, she met Robbie Jarvis, a newcomer who has appeared in UK television shows like Casualty and EastEnders.

Jarvis played a young version of James Potter in a flashback sequence in the movie, though fans might not immediately recognize him in the role.

In the brief scene, he is seen laughing and disarming a young Severus Snape with a spell.

Although Jarvis had limited screen time, his experience on set allowed him to form a lasting bond with Lynch, which turned into a nearly decade-long relationship.

The couple began dating secretly after meeting on set and only revealed their relationship to the public in 2015 through a series of Instagram posts.

In one post from May 2015, Lynch celebrated Jarvis’ birthday with the caption: “Happy 29th Birthday to this little babe!! Sweetest boy! Off to see a show together #happybirthdayrobbie.”

They also shared photos from a trip to Hobbiton in New Zealand, the filming location of the Lord of the Rings series.

Though they parted ways in 2016, they have maintained a strong friendship.

At the premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Lynch mentioned, “We’re both vegans, so we go to a lot of vegan events together. So yeah, we’re good friends.”
