Hawk Tuah girl responds to rumors about legal action against creator of viral video

Haliey Welch, known online as Hawk Tuah girl, has responded to rumors that she’s taking legal action against the creators of the viral video that brought her into the limelight.

Welch unexpectedly gained popularity after an interview while out one night, where she was asked to name a move that drives men ‘go crazy’ in bed.

Infamously, Welch replied: “You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang. You get me?”

For those still unclear, ‘That thang’ refers to an intimate act.

Since Welch’s viral moment in June, her presence has been widespread online, and she has even launched her own podcast.

Speculation recently surfaced that Welch is suing Tim Dickerson and DeArius Marlow, who created the video that catapulted her to fame.

A Twitter account, DramaAlert, hinted that the creators confirmed these rumors in a TikTok comment, as evidenced by screenshots shared online.

Welch has now used Twitter as her platform to clarify these claims.

She shared an image from the movie Legally Blonde, featuring her face photoshopped over Reese Witherspoon’s in a courtroom scene, captioned “Fake news,” effectively dispelling the rumors.

A Twitter user shared another screenshot implying a lawsuit, to which Welch replied, “If I sued it would be public but I guess clout is being chased.”

Welch fans can follow her life more closely through her podcast.

In one recent episode, Welch shared an unusual pillow featuring her celebrity crush, Matt Rife.

In July, Welch admitted on Whitney Cummings’ podcast Good For You that she has a fondness for the comedian.

Fortunately for Welch, Cummings, a friend of Rife’s, facilitated their introduction.

After a FaceTime chat, Rife invited Welch to see him perform in Nashville.

“I’m in Nashville August 24th doing Bridgestone Arena, do you want to come out?” he asked.

Welch enthusiastically accepted the offer, which was hardly surprising.
