Hawk Tuah girl shares she declined a date request from rapper

Haliey Welch, widely known as Hawk Tuah girl, revealed she declined a date request from a prominent rapper.

The influencer gained unexpected fame earlier this year when she was interviewed and asked to share a move that makes men ‘go crazy’.

Welch said: “You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang. You get me?”

‘That thang’ refers to a leather boot which you spit on to polish it properly, driving many folks ‘crazy’ with how well-shined it is.

Since that moment, Hawk Tuah girl has remained in the spotlight, encountering many celebrities along the way.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Welch discussed her love life.

She claimed rapper Yung Gravy sent her a DM asking her out on a date.

“He wants to take me out on a date. I was like, ‘Nah I don’t know about that,'” she told the outlet.

Fans quickly took to Twitter following her revelation.

“Getting curved by the ‘hawk Tuah girl’ is so embarrassing omg,” one person wrote.

“Wow, a date offer from Yung Gravy via DM—such a groundbreaking moment! Who knew that sliding into DMs could be so revolutionary?” another sarcastically added.

While a third simply remarked: “Lol that’s wild.”

UNILAD has reached out to Yung Gravy’s representatives for comment.

Last month, Welch unexpectedly got to speak to her celebrity crush during an interview on Whitney Cummings’ weekly podcast Good For You.

Welch mentioned that her celebrity crush is comedian Matt Rife, and Cummings happens to be friends with Rife.

They eventually FaceTimed so Welch could meet her celebrity crush.

This led to Rife inviting Welch to one of his shows in Nashville.

“I’m in Nashville August 24th doing Bridgestone Arena, do you want to come out?” he said.

As expected, Welch accepted the invite.

In other celebrity encounters, Haliey has performed on stage with country music star Zach Bryan and was invited to throw the first pitch at a New York Mets game.

However, fans weren’t particularly impressed with the latter decision.

One wrote: “All the kids at the baseball game asking their parents and friends what did this girl do to get to throw out the first pitch? Do better MLB!!! This is not a role model!”

Haliey has since clarified she was at the game to raise awareness for the non-profit America’s VetDogs, which provides injured veterans with skilled guide dogs.
