Hawk Tuah woman reveals the worst things that have come from her viral video

Hailey Welch, now famously known as the ‘Hawk Tuah’ woman, has shared the surprising downsides of her newfound internet fame. Welch catapulted to viral status after a video of her being interviewed by YouTubers Tim and Dee TV captured the public’s imagination. In the widely shared clip, Welch was asked what could make men lose their minds, to which she humorously replied: “You gotta give it that hawk tuah,” mimicking a spitting action and adding: “Spit on that thang.” She clarified that the phrase referred to a chef’s hypothetical revenge on a rude customer by spitting in their food.

After a brief hiatus from the spotlight, Welch resurfaced at a concert by country musician Zach Bryan in Nashville and addressed some rumors on Brianna LaPaglia’s podcast. Now, via her Instagram, Welch has opened up about the less glamorous aspects of viral fame.

One major issue? The paparazzi. “I have to convince my paw paw not to shoot the paparazzi outside our house every day,” she revealed, indicating the constant presence of photographers camped outside for weeks. Additionally, Welch has had to repeatedly clarify that she does not have an OnlyFans account, despite persistent inquiries. “Stop asking me for the link in bio to my OnlyFans, I don’t have OnlyFans, there will never be an OnlyFans,” she firmly stated.

Another challenge has been dealing with fake social media accounts imitating her: “I don’t have any social media at the moment, aside from Snapchat and Instagram,” she cautioned her followers.

Despite these hurdles, Welch has found positive aspects to her fame. Her viral success has boosted her confidence, allowing her to perform alongside Zach Bryan to an audience of 80,000. She also joked about no longer needing to eat Taco Bell regularly, although she admitted she might anyway. Excitingly, Welch is also venturing into merchandising, planning a line of hats featuring her viral catchphrase.
