Heartbreaking final words of influencer before fatal 630 ft bridge fall witnessed by ‘traumatized’ friend

The final words of an influencer who tragically died after falling 630 feet have been disclosed.

The British adventurer lost his life while trying to climb one of Spain’s tallest bridges on Sunday, October 13th.

Lewis Stevenson, aged 26, fell from the Castilla-La Mancha Bridge during an attempt to complete a dangerous stunt.

The incident resulted in his death in front of his ‘traumatized’ 24-year-old companion.

The Town Council of Talavera de la Reina issued a statement: “The Councillor for Citizen Security, Macarena Munoz, has confirmed the death of a young man after he fell from the Castilla-La Mancha bridge.

“He was a 26-year-old Englishman who fell while climbing the aforementioned bridge, something which the councillor has made clear is totally prohibited and that we have reiterated on numerous occasions cannot be done under any circumstances.

“According to what we have been able to establish they had come to Talavera to climb the bridge and create content for social media, which has resulted in this unfortunate and sad outcome.”

Lewis’ grandfather, Clifford Stevenson, discussed the family’s loss with MailOnline.

At 70, he emphasized the family’s attempts to dissuade Lewis from undertaking the stunt.

He stated: “We all tried to talk him out of it. We were always trying to talk him out of doing things but that was the way he was.

“He loved doing it, always went out there believing he’d be alright. He did what he did for his own pleasure. He did not get any money for it, he was an adventurer.”

Lewis’ partner, Savannah Parker, also shared her grief with MailOnline, recounting his final words.

She revealed: “We spoke at half eleven and the last thing he said to me was, ‘Good night, I love you’.

“He messaged me at half five to say, ‘Good morning’ with three kisses. I didn’t see it until quarter to eight.

“I thought he’d just be trying to get a sunrise picture. I thought he must have stuck his arm out to get a picture and fell, not that he passed out.”

In response to the event, a spokesman for the government-run local emergency services reported: “We received the first call at 7.14am today, saying a young man had fallen while he was climbing the Castilla-La Mancha Bridge.

“The victim, who was aged 26, was pronounced dead at the scene.”
