In the aftermath of the plane crash, Christina’s mother Cathy shared details about her family’s final moments and the unsettling text her daughter sent.
Authorities have confirmed that seven individuals, including NASCAR icon Greg Biffle, his wife Christina, their children Ryder and Emma, tragically perished in a plane crash.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol reported the crash on Thursday, though the cause remains unknown.
Alongside Biffle and his immediate family, it was disclosed that passengers Dennis Dutton and his son Jack, as well as Craig Wadsworth, were also on board.
Garrett Mitchell, known for his online persona Cleetus McFarland and a close friend of Biffle, confirmed the heartbreaking news, stating the family was en route to visit him when the plane crashed.

On Facebook, Mitchell shared: “Unfortunately, I can confirm Greg Biffle, his wife Cristina, daughter Emma, and son Ryder were on that plane…because they were on their way to spend the afternoon with us. We are devastated. I’m so sorry to share this.”
Speaking to People, Christina’s mother, Cathy, disclosed the last message she received from her daughter.
She recounted to the publication that before the family’s passing, Christina sent a text saying ‘we’re in trouble’.
Tearfully, Cathy mentioned: “She texted me from the plane and she said, ‘We’re in trouble.’ And that was it.
“So we’re devastated. We’re brokenhearted.”
Cathy also noted that the family was reportedly on a ‘birthday trip’ in Florida.
She elaborated: “To think that they would be killed on a birthday trip, that was just such a fun time for the family.
“And to see the horrific way that it ended, it’s just, it is so hard to bear. I cannot believe they’re gone.”
Cathy remembered that Cristina and Greg had visited her home just a day before the tragedy.
She expressed: “I don’t remember what the last words that I said to my daughter or to Greg or to my precious Ryder.
“I don’t remember. I know we hugged, but I don’t remember those last words and that’s going to haunt me. But they were happy.”
