Here’s the touching reason why Eminem decided against accepting a massive cash offer to go on tour with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
If you were given the opportunity to earn $100 million in exchange for some time away from your family, it’s likely you’d consider it. Most families would probably encourage such a decision given the financial gain.
However, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, places a high value on family. This was evident when he declined a lucrative touring proposition with fellow rap icons Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
50 Cent shared with Big Boy TV that Eminem turned down the tour, which would have been worth “collectively, over $100 million,” because he wanted to prioritize spending time with his daughter, Hailie. He was concerned that the global tour would result in long periods without seeing her.
“You do not believe how much money we would’ve made,” 50 Cent stated. “And Em was like — there were so many dates at the time the way they laid it out — that he was like, ‘I just don’t want to go on tour and come back and Hailie’s grown.'”
Indeed, a man who puts family first.
Even without embarking on the tour, Mathers’ rap skills remain sharp, as shown by a recent challenge he faced on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Uber Eats tweeted: “There’s no word in English that rhymes with ‘silver,'” prompting the Rock The Bells account to challenge: “@Eminem, you have 24 hours!”
Naturally, Eminem accepted the challenge, responding just over a day later with a clever retort.
Mathers replied: “Silver pilfer kill fer Gilbert’s still hurts steel shirts Bill Burr milf word off kilter no filter chill brrrr feel burn still slur will stir Trent dilfer Val kilmer Still third shield her he’ll squirt Steven Spielberg Lil twerp Wilshire She’ll purr Kill birds milk curd feel worth Real nerd Stans documentary I liked your film sir.”
“This should have like a million likes,” a fan commented, while another added: “LMAOOOOOOO you’re a genius.”
Eminem enthusiasts will be excited to learn that the rapper is planning to release a new album soon, with 50 Cent having already had a preview of his latest work.
“He sent me a record now, he’s working now,” Curtin Jackson mentioned to Los Angeles radio station Real 92.3. “He has some things, man. Still the highest-selling rap artist in the world. We’re doing it now.”
