Heidi Klum receives criticism for lingerie ad featuring her daughter

Heidi Klum has once again collaborated with her daughter, sparking a debate among the public.

The 51-year-old America’s Got Talent judge teamed up with her 20-year-old daughter, Leni Klum, for a new lingerie campaign by Intimissimi, an Italian brand specializing in underwear and nightwear.

The campaign’s footage features the former Victoria’s Secret model playfully interacting with her daughter’s lingerie before they both start using an old-fashioned camera to capture images of themselves in the brand’s latest collection.

On Instagram, Heidi shared the campaign with her followers, stating: “Our new Intimissimi FW Campaign is out now!

“@Leniklum and I had so much fun shooting this with @Rankinarchive and @Thomashayo. Find us on billboards all over Germany and on TV!

“Treat yourself with a new Italian lingerie set with these campaign styles and many more online and in all @intimissimiofficial stores!”

Despite their enthusiasm, the campaign has drawn some criticism online.

One Instagram user remarked: “Quite strange to do this with your mum.”

Another comment read: “Strange she’s touching your panties.”

A third person added: “This is kinda weird.”

One individual even made a bold statement: “This Looks Like the beginning of a p0rn.”

Jokingly, someone commented: “Very authentic situation. Doing this with my dad all the time, when it comes to shorts.”

Another quipped: “Yeah, nothing like getting half naked with your mom…”

This isn’t the first time the mother-daughter duo has faced criticism for similar photoshoots; this marks their third campaign together in as many years.

In 2022, following Leni’s 18th birthday, they participated in a mother-daughter lingerie photoshoot, and again after her 19th birthday in 2023, both for Intimissimi.

In response to the criticism last year, Heidi told Mail Online: “It’s been fun to shoot together. To do photoshoots together with her and just to see how she’s just very comfortable and also comfortable around me even when we’re doing underwear shoots or something like that.

“It makes me proud that my daughter is super comfortable in her skin also in front of me and around me because not every kid is in the world.

“So, I love that we have this beautiful relationship.”

Leni also addressed the criticism they faced last year in an interview with Page Six, acknowledging that she “didn’t look at a lot of the reactions” but felt “overall happy with the campaign.” She mentioned having an “amazing day” working alongside her mom.

“I think the photos turned out great,” she remarked.
