Heidi Klum has unveiled her 2025 Halloween costume: a gory, eight-foot replica of her own severed left hand.

The 53-year-old supermodel debuted the jaw-dropping prosthetic creation Saturday night at her annual “Heidiween” party, held at Cathédrale Restaurant at Moxy East Village in New York City. The event marked the 25th anniversary of her legendary Halloween bash, presented this year by Apocalyptic and Butterfinger.

Klum’s entrance matched the horror-movie aesthetic of her costume. She arrived in a truck plastered with red “DANGER” signs, then was helped to the ground by actors dressed in yellow hazmat suits. The hand itself featured a bloody wrist stump, with her head positioned at the center of the palm. The prosthetic replicated her actual left hand down to intimate details: her green stone wedding ring and a finger tattoo reading “Tom” in honor of her husband, Tom Kaulitz.

Kaulitz, who has frequently served as an accessory to Klum’s elaborate costumes through the years, was not present at this year’s party.

The German-born model began teasing her look on Instagram one week before the event, sharing close-up images of her prosthetics that appeared to show dead and decaying innards and rotting flesh. On Thursday, she posted a mannequin rendered in her measurements with a deconstructed hiking backpack strapped to the back, offering another cryptic hint at the scale of the final creation.

Last month, she said that her look “goes very well with red wine.”

“It’s very, very bloody,” she added.

“A great glass of wine is always fun… and most of the time you think of something gory when you have a blood transfusion bag,” she also shared. “That’s what Halloween is all about. We go gory, and we go there.”

Klum has made a tradition of rendering herself completely unrecognizable through prosthetics and marathon makeup sessions. She has spent up to 10 hours in a single day being covered in pounds of prosthetics for past looks. Her costume evolution has grown increasingly elaborate in recent years, moving from glamorous transformations to creature features and body horror.

Some of her most memorable past looks include Jessica Rabbit, an elderly version of herself, and a worm costume that required creative solutions for basic functions. Last year, she appeared as a hissing Medusa while Kaulitz was dressed as a concrete soldier.
