Hilary Swank announced on Wednesday that she is expecting twins.
The 48-year-old actress told “Good Morning America” co-hosts she was “so happy” to announce her pregnancy.
“This is something I’ve been wanting for a long time, and my next thing is I’m gonna be a mom,” she gushed. “And not just of one but of two.”
The Oscar winner said, “I can’t believe it.” She subsequently appeared on “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” where she wore a patterned dress and cradled her baby belly.
“I’m feeling great right now,” she told Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, adding that her clothes have “started not to fit.”
Swank has made no secret of her desire to have children.
“I definitely would like kids someday,” the “Boys Don’t Cry” star told People in 2006. “That’s definitely something that I’ve always thought about as a very, very young girl.”
Swank noted at the time that she “love[s] kids,” adding, “That would be an important thing to happen for me someday whenever the time is right.”
The “Alaska Daily” actress was married to Chad Lowe then, but they split the following year.
Swank later dated her agent John Campisi from 2007 to 2012 and was briefly engaged to financial expert Ruben Torres in 2016 before marrying her current spouse, Philip Schneider.
Swank and the producer married in August 2018 after dating for two years.
The “Million Dollar Baby” actor raved about their marriage on their first anniversary on Instagram.
“It’s been a year!!” she captioned a smiling snap. “The best of my life…besides the first year…and second year together. Happy one-year wedding anniversary to the love of my life.”
