Homeowner files $6,000,000 lawsuit against realtor after uncovering famous mystery buyer’s identity

When you’re selling your mansion for millions, you naturally want the best deal possible. However, one seller found himself quite displeased after learning the identity of his mystery buyer.

Admittedly, this isn’t a common problem for most people. Personally, when I sold my mansion, everything went smoothly, and I got the price I wanted.

Of course, none of that actually happened, but it’s fun to imagine, isn’t it?

In reality, a man in Miami sold his mansion for $79 million and became furious after discovering the buyer’s identity.

The seller, electronics mogul Leo Kryss, was so upset that he decided to file a lawsuit against the realtor. He claimed the realtor persuaded him to drop his asking price from $85 million for his Indian Creek island mansion.

Kryss alleged that the real estate company intentionally kept the buyer’s identity a secret and told him that $79 million was the final offer.

Despite this, Kryss still made a significant profit, having bought the seven-bedroom property for $28 million back in 2014.

So why is he so upset? The buyer was none other than Jeff Bezos, the second richest man on the planet.

Given Bezos’s net worth of over $200 billion, it seems he could have easily paid the asking price.

However, it appears even the wealthiest individuals aren’t above negotiating to save a few million dollars.

According to a report by Mail Online, the lawsuit stated: “It was highly material to his negotiations and his decision on the ultimate sales price to know whether Bezos was attempting to anonymously acquire the home in order to assemble it with the adjoining property.”

While Kryss acknowledges that he still made a substantial profit, he initially believed that the home’s features—such as the wine cellar, library, theater, and pool—would secure the $85 million asking price when listed in May last year.

The home is located in an elite neighborhood, which explains why people are willing to pay such high prices for properties there.

The private island, often called the ‘billionaire bunker,’ is home to some of the wealthiest individuals, with only 41 addresses.

The island even boasts a private police force that patrols the community around the clock, whether by foot, air, or land.
