A nail impaled a woman on live television after a magic trick disastrously misfired.
Live TV always carries the risk of unforeseen mishaps because, being live, anything can occur.
Such incidents often involve reporters covering extreme weather, providing viewers with memorable and sometimes humorous moments.
One of the most frightening incidents on Polish television featured presenter Marzena Rogalska.
In 2016, Rogalska participated in a magic trick on the Polish show Pytanie na Śniadanie, meaning Question for Breakfast, which did not go as planned.
The trick involved Rogalska slamming her hand onto a set of brown paper bags, avoiding the one containing a hidden nail positioned upright at the bottom.
However, magician Marcin Poloniewicz, a former Poland’s Got Talent semi-finalist, mistakenly mixed up the bags. As a result, Rogalska slammed her hand onto the bag with the nail. Needless to say, the outcome was painful.
The presenter screamed in pain as the nail pierced her hand, while Poloniewicz and another presenter initially thought it was part of the act.
Once they and the crew realized Rogalska’s hand was actually impaled, she was promptly given medical attention.
Rogalska was taken to the hospital but assured fans she was fine after being discharged. She appeared on Facebook alongside the magician and her co-presenter to confirm her recovery.

She commented, “He didn’t mean for this to happen,” highlighting that everything had gone smoothly during rehearsals.
Rogalska defended Poloniewicz, emphasizing it wasn’t his fault, and urged people online to ease up on the criticism directed at him.
The incident quickly went viral, garnering millions of views.
“What a nice lady for being forgiving and without resent after a random man impaled her hand with a nail,” one viewer remarked on Inside Edition’s YouTube page.
Another noted, “Look at the guy’s face when he sees what he did. That is genuine shock and horror.”
A third expressed: “I’m so happy that the woman forgave him, she has a heart of gold. What she went through must have been terrible!!!”
