Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke explains why she regrets removing herself from his will

Hulk Hogan’s will has left daughter Brooke with regrets after being vocal about their tumultuous relationship.

Discussion around Hogan’s estate intensified last year after reports that $799,000 in property was left to a single person, alongside cryptocurrency holdings.

The wrestling legend died at 71 after suffering cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida, in July.

In the months before his death, it was widely believed he had undergone heart surgery.

Many people remember Hogan’s family from Hogan Knows Best, but the will ultimately treated his two children, Brooke and Nick, very differently.

Hogan shared Brooke and Nick with ex-wife Linda Hogan, and only one of them was named the sole beneficiary: Nick.

At the time, US Weekly reported that Nick filed court documents stating Hogan had $5 million in assets prior to his death.

Brooke later spoke publicly about why she wasn’t included, saying the decision stemmed from her choosing to remove herself from the will.

Now, however, she says she wishes she hadn’t made that call.

Brooke removed herself from Hogan’s will in 2023 and later revisited the topic on the Hollywood Raw Podcast, explaining how her perspective has changed.

“Do I regret that decision? Yes,” she said.

She stressed that her regret isn’t tied to inheritance money, but to what she feels she has lost access to since stepping away.

She said: “Taking myself off of that will, now, it’s not the money part because I’ve never been about the money but it’s more about just like…”

When asked if it was because she was out of the loop, she replied: “Right, like I can’t get autopsy results. And it’s funny, because now people are treating me like I emancipated myself. And I’m like, just because me and him didn’t agree on things and we didn’t talk for a little bit, like, it doesn’t matter if you don’t talk for two years or if you don’t talk for two days.”

She continued: “Families have their ins and outs. It doesn’t mean I’m not his daughter. It doesn’t mean I’m not just as important as Nick,’ she said, referring to her brother.

Brooke added that the situation has left her feeling shut out: she says she is now “treated like I’m an outsider.”

Earlier, when she first addressed removing herself from the will, Brooke spoke about it on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show.

The mother of two explained that she wanted to avoid being pulled into disputes over money or property after Hogan died.

She said that when she messaged her dad’s assistant to ask to be removed, she was “sobbing”.

“I just said, take me off everything, I don’t want to be a part of it,” she added.

Brooke also said she felt there were people in Hogan’s circle who weren’t good influences, and that raising concerns created “waves.”

As a result, she chose to step back and put distance between herself and the situation.
