James Edward “Eddie” Gore, 74, was arrested Tuesday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of first-degree domestic battery and second-degree battery.
An elderly Washington County man is in jail facing battery charges related to accusations he stabbed two women at a rural home near Farmington on Monday afternoon, with Gore stabbing his wife and another woman Monday at his residence on Rheas Mill Road.
The caller, Nancy Serna, told dispatchers Gore “went crazy” and stabbed her and his wife, Marilyn Gore.
Eddie Gore entered the kitchen from behind his wife, wrapped his left arm around her, put his left hand over her mouth then stabbed her in the right neck and shoulder area with scissors.
Serna tried to stop the attack and get the scissors from Eddie Gore, but he turned toward Serna and stabbed her multiple times on the arm, shoulder, neck and head.
