Ice-T and his wife Coco have revealed a candid detail about their relationship, sharing what they believe has kept their marriage strong for 24 years.
The couple, who married in 2002, have long credited their lasting happiness to maintaining a vibrant and active intimate life.
When approached by E! News at Heidi Klum’s Halloween event on October 31, Ice-T discussed their secret to a successful marriage: “Yeah jungle sex. I actually heard an 86 year old man say that, and I stole it.. I think that’s kind of like what it is, but, I mean, I think you just got to stay in love. How simple is that?”
Coco supported his statement, adding: “You gotta listen to each other, and I know you’ve heard it before. You do have to conversate [sic]. You do have to have conversations over and over and over again you can’t get used to each other.”
It seems their formula boils down to staying connected both physically and through ongoing conversation.
Discussing their bond, Coco noted: “We’re the exact same person.”
She elaborated: “Exactly. If I were to be a boy, I would be him. And if he would be a girl…”
Ice-T humorously cut in: “I’d be a little white girl with big boobs, you know what I’m saying? You got to turn the gangster into sexuality. It is, you know, the female power versus us.
“But at the end of the day, we just dig each other. You know what I’m saying? Obviously! You know, so it ain’t gonna work no other way – trust me.”
Coco, 46, emphasized: “Yeah, we’re the best friends.”
In an interview last year, Coco shared that a fulfilling intimate life is crucial, a view echoed by the 67-year-old Law & Order: SVU star.
Beyond their physical relationship, the pair enjoy frequent date nights and dress up for one another.
Ice-T explained: “When you first get with somebody, you want to have sex, right? If that ever ends, it’s a wrap. When that feeling goes away, forget about it.”
So, if a lasting relationship is the goal, it might be worth considering ways to keep the spark alive.
