Influencers Shocked as Car Crashes into Restaurant During Food Review

An influencer couple experienced a frightening ordeal when an SUV drove into the restaurant where they were dining, resulting in injuries and shock.

The couple, YouTubers Nina Unrated and Patrick Blackwood, known for sharing their daily lives and food adventures, were in the midst of recording a meal for their audience when the unexpected incident occurred.

Sharing the experience on their YouTube channel, @UnratedExFiles, Nina expressed her gratitude for surviving the terrifying event. She described the moment when the car crashed through the glass wall at Cuvee’s Culinary Creations in Houston, Texas, while they were recording an eating show.

In their video, they captioned: “Hey everyone, it’s ‪@NinaUnrated and ‪@PatrickBlackwood here, and we can’t even begin to express how incredibly fortunate we feel to be alive after what happened to us.

“We were just sitting in a cozy booth at our favorite restaurant, enjoying happy hour with an amazing spread of salmon sliders, presidential oysters, a macaroni and cheese flight (classic, lobster, and truffle), shrimp and grits, and some refreshing drinks.”

The video captures Nina and Patrick discussing their meal choices when suddenly, an explosion of glass occurs beside Patrick as a vehicle crashes through the window right next to them.

Nina managed to move away from danger just in time, with Patrick quickly following, though they both sustained cuts from the shattered glass.

“We were laughing, having a great time, and right as we tapped our sliders together in a ‘boom!’ cheers moment, out of nowhere, this SUV came barreling through the glass wall at 35-40 mph,” continued the caption. “No warning at all glass shattered everywhere, chaos erupted, and it hit right next to Patrick on the outside of the booth.”

The duo shared footage of their time in the ambulance, revealing the injuries they suffered, including a cut on Nina’s eyebrow, chin, and wrist, and Patrick with blood on his head.

Fortunately, their injuries were not severe, though the event left them shaken.

Patrick expressed feeling ‘blessed’ to have survived but needed time to process the experience. From the hospital, he shared, “I’m glad I’m alive. I just want to be around my pets, lay down in my own home, have me some ice cream.”

Nina echoed his sentiments, saying to the camera, “I don’t know if I’m lucky or maybe I’m delusional right now, but I’m just like it’s like I want to break down and cry.”

Subsequently, Nina took to Instagram to post photos of their injuries and shared their reflections after processing the event.

She noted that the car appeared suddenly, but they survived the ordeal.

For her, the experience emphasized the importance of valuing loved ones and letting go of negativity, writing, “Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you this could’ve been our last meal. Thankful to the universe and our angel pup Loyal, who passed in Nov 2024 and protected us from above.”

Despite the traumatic experience, the couple returned to the restaurant to confront their fears and mentioned that, despite everything, the food was ‘actually amazing’.

The restaurant’s owner shared with TMZ that while Nina and Patrick were hospitalized for their injuries, the driver of the SUV was unharmed and will face consequences for the damage caused.

For further details, comments have been sought from Cuvee’s Culinary Creations and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
