A man with experience working on an adult-only cruise has shed light on what truly occurs on such voyages.
Last year, discussions were rife about these nude cruises, as many passengers shared their experiences of when everyone on board embraces nudity.
While the intention of these cruises isn’t inherently sexual or inappropriate, there are certainly adult-themed cruises that cater to those seeking that kind of entertainment.
The YouTuber known as ‘Kirk Cruises’ has had firsthand experience working on these cruises and shared a detailed account in a 2023 video of what unfolds during these NSFW trips.
Kirk described, “Before the guests embarked, there were stands all around the ship supplying free condoms – but they also have dedicated sex rooms with various equipment that people could use during the cruise.”
He further elaborated on the aftermath of these cruises, revealing some less-than-pleasant details.
He mentioned, “After the cruise was over, swimming pools had to be fully flushed out and cleaned due to semen clogging up the drains. The crew had to wear hazmat suits to clean up the mess after the party cruise. I’m not saying all adult cruises are the same, I’m just giving it from a crew members perspective.”
In the video, Kirk also highlighted some telltale signs of passengers seeking NSFW experiences on board, such as an ‘upside pineapple’ displayed on cabin doors.
However, he pointed out that some individuals inadvertently wear pineapple-themed clothing for a ‘summery look,’ which sometimes leads to misunderstandings with others on the cruise.
This occasionally results in awkward encounters between passengers.
On these cruises, there are strict guidelines, especially regarding when nudity is acceptable.
A guest on Reddit mentioned that the captain often makes an announcement to let guests know when it’s appropriate to “lower the sails,” so to speak.
Additionally, there are rules about the use of phones and cameras, as taking photos of others without permission is strictly prohibited.
One participant noted, “Everyone knows you can’t take pictures of other people. I was much less worried here than I have been at nude beaches. Almost no one had phones with them outside their cabin.”
