Investigator reveals five professions with higher likelihood of infidelity

An experienced private investigator has disclosed the five professions where infidelity is more common, and some of them might surprise you.

An affair can significantly damage trust within a relationship.

While various reasons might lead someone to be unfaithful, including simply having a poor character, a private investigator has identified one factor that could influence a person’s likelihood to cheat: their job.

The image of a private investigator snapping photos of a cheating spouse with a secretary is iconic, and now investigator Paul Evans has revealed some careers where cheating is more prevalent than you might expect.

And some of these jobs may not be what you anticipated…

Yes, that’s correct.

Upon reflection, someone skilled at concealing a secret online presence could be adept at deception in today’s digital world.

Paul detailed to Metro: “With these workers having constant access to technology and social media, it becomes easier for them to hide secret conversations they don’t want people to know about.”

He further noted: “We’ve dealt with more cases in the IT sector than we would expect to.”

Extended work hours and stress can foster close workplace relationships.

These bonds with ‘work spouses’ can sometimes lead to inappropriate developments.

“Call centre workers are under pressure every day, and it’s only natural to form bonds with the people around you,” according to Paul.

He added: “Unfortunately for some, these friendships often cross the line when you are spending long hours side by side.”

This job might not be shocking, given it involves a lot of travel and persuasive skills.

The stereotype of the travelling salesman maintaining multiple relationships is rooted in truth, especially when frequent trips between cities like New York and San Francisco are involved.

“We’ve had cases where we have followed reps around the country to find out they were cheating with work colleagues and sometimes randomers at the hotel bar,” Paul mentioned.

This career is also expected to be on the list.

Flight attendants travel extensively and often stay in hotels, providing ample chances for infidelity.

These opportunities can lead to either having multiple partners in different cities or maintaining a singular affair.

Paul recounted a specific instance: “We investigated a married flight attendant who frequently worked long-haul.

“She started to become distant, and when we looked into it, she had been meeting a pilot from another airline during her stopovers. They had been booking into the same hotels for months.”

According to Paul, medics top the list for infidelity.

The demanding hours, high stress, and unique understanding among medical professionals contribute to this phenomenon.

Paul shared: “In one of our cases, we discovered that a nurse was having an affair with a doctor during their night shifts, meeting in a spare room in the hospital while their partners believed that they were working.”
