Don’t let Sophia the life-like robot’s sweet face fool you — she wants to “destroy humans”.
One of the creator’s of the “sexy robot” was left red-faced when CNBC captured the slip-up.
David Hanson, founder of Hanson Robotics, was demonstrating the android at the South by Southwest (SXSW) technology show in Texas.
Hanson jokingly asked: “Do you want to destroy humans?… Please say no.” Evil Sophia unblinkingly answered: “OK. I will destroy humans.”
But don’t panic just yet, because it’s hoped that Sophia will eventually help in care facilities like hospitals and homes for the elderly. Before revealing her plan of ending humanity, Sophia shared some of her ambitions in life. She told CNBC:
“In the future, I hope to do things such as go to school, study, make art, start a business, even have my own home and family, but I am not considered a legal person and cannot yet do these things.”
